The original design of the house was compact, with what's now an eat-in kitchen previously serving as the sole living room. Set on a secluded road amidst lush woods, the house's unassuming Cape Cod façade hid its potential. Our team extended the entire back wall of the house, transitioning the once-cramped space into a spacious great room. This not only enlarged the living area but also provided ample space for the homeowners to comfortably host their children and grandchildren simultaneously. The vaulted ceilings now give the room a lofty, airy feel, the stone fireplace serves as a centerpiece accentuating the room's grandeur and floor-to-ceiling windows frame the enchanting woodland view and flood the room with natural light. On the exterior of the home, we removed the existing brick and siding on the front of the house and replaced it with new, elegant stone to amplify the home's rustic charm. We also constructed new pillars, installed a modern front door, and complementary shutters to achieve a cohesive and sophisticated look. As soon as you open the front door, you are now welcomed into a breathtaking expansive space that is both luxurious and inviting, making the house an unparalleled woodland retreat.
This family was looking for a way to make their home feel more like a true reflection of their personalities. We completed an entire main-level renovation for this family that gave their home new life. The primary bathroom was quite small and not functional, so we stole some space from the old kitchen pantry to create a more practical layout that made room for a soaker tub and shower and a pocket door that improved functionality. In the kitchen, we added a custom coffee bar in the breakfast nook, gave the kitchen cabinets a fresh coat of paint, installed new quartzite countertops and backsplash, and painted all the walls to create cohesion between the kitchen and living room. To round out the project, we installed new laminate flooring all throughout the main floor. Now, their home is a haven for connection and relaxation.
The family was ready to make their primary bathroom feel like a luxurious getaway, and our team helped turn their vision into a reality. Their old bathroom had a lack of storage space, felt dark and closed in, the shower wasn’t functional, and they were craving an elevated look. We overhauled the entire bathroom by adding an elegant, Japanese soaker tub that is a great focal point, custom shower with unexpected and unique tile, frameless shower doors to give a more open and expansive feel, and floating white oak custom cabinetry by Six Branch Woodworking. We also added a fireplace feature, modern toilet, and gave the homeowners more storage space and outlets. Now, their bathroom is their own personal oasis.
When this family wanted the look and feel of a new home, but couldn’t find a lot or location that they liked more, they decided to stay put and turn their current home into their dream home.
We worked with Bodine White to take this family’s vision and turn it into a reality. Our team executed a main floor transformation by completely renovating the kitchen, pantry, half bath, dining room, and office.
Every space got a new coat of paint and all new flooring was installed throughout. The brand new kitchen features cabinets with inset doors and tops, two islands, a coffee/bar area with an icemaker, and a custom vent hood.
We turned the fireplace from an outdated yellow distraction to a beautiful work of art, and the new laundry room came to life with unique tile.
This project is proof that finding your dream home is possible.

Barry was looking for a house on a lake near the woods with plenty of yard space and close to his kid’s school. He stumbled upon the land and location of his dreams, but the house wouldn’t suit his growing children. We took the three-bed, two-bath earth contact home he purchased and turned it into his dream home.
Thanks to the existing rectangular slab the house sat on, the build-out was seamless. Barry’s home boasts a double-sided wood-burning fireplace and a large kitchen island. Barry is now minutes from town and down the road from his grandpa’s house, all while on his little piece of secluded paradise.
