In this project, our team seamlessly replaced an older deck, while maintaining its unique double stair design. The homeowners wanted a sustainable and visually appealing solution that complemented the breathtaking view of the golf course and the results speak for themselves.

Instead of opting for composite decking, the homeowners chose cedar decking. Cedar decking, known for its natural beauty, provides a timeless wood look that cannot be replicated by composite materials. Cedar requires no harsh treatments, and this decision aligned with the homeowners' commitment to sustainable living. With proper care, cedar decking can maintain its shine and luster for years.

The project was completed with an Edge custom railing, enhancing both safety and aesthetics. TrueSon's attention to detail ensured that the railing seamlessly integrated with the overall design, creating a cohesive and polished look. Our dedication to meeting the homeowners' specific requirements resulted in a deck replacement that not only maintained the integrity of the original design but also exceeded their expectations in terms of aesthetics and sustainability.

At Trueson, we take pride in transforming spaces, and this project is a great example of high-quality deck design and construction. Our team had the pleasure of working with a returning customer whose existing deck simply did not match the grandeur of their home and the picturesque backdrop of their park-like backyard.

The first phase of the project involved the removal of the existing deck, to allow for a significant expansion. Recognizing the need for a low-maintenance solution, we built the deck with composite decking, ensuring durability and aesthetics that will stand the test of time.

The stairway received a makeover with a widened design, creating a more inviting entrance to the expansive deck. To elevate safety and aesthetics simultaneously, we installed custom powder-coated deck railings, adding a touch of sophistication while ensuring durability against the elements.

Understanding the desire for a versatile outdoor space, we incorporated an innovative under deck system. This addition not only keeps the area beneath the deck dry but also transforms it into a livable space throughout various seasons. To enhance both functionality and ambiance, we integrated lighting and a ceiling fan, providing a comfortable retreat regardless of the weather.

Our commitment to holistic design led us to create a new radius edge concrete pad under the deck. With a broom finish and border, spanning approximately 14'x14', this addition complements the overall aesthetic while providing a functional and stylish space beneath the deck.

Now these homeowners have a stunning, functional expanded deck that serves as a seamless extension of their living space.

Rooted deep in family history, this house was built in 1972 by the homeowners grandpa and has sheltered three generations. This family was ready to make this space their own and asked our team to breathe new life into the old structure.

We completed a comprehensive renovation of the upper, main, and mezzanine levels of the home. We removed the wall dividing the primary communal spaces: living room, dining room, and kitchen. We transformed a once-small sun porch into a more expansive main living and dining space, modified the once-cramped closets to provide more space and utility, and overhauled the primary bathroom and closet, enhancing their functionality and aesthetic. We also repurposed the pre-existing garage into a contemporary home office, and added on a fresh outdoor patio space.

While the home is fondly referred to as "the farmhouse”, the homeowners envisioned a more modern, less rustic feel. The final design brings freshness to the space and prominently features some of their favorite shades of turquoise and teal. Vintage touches like hexagonal black and white tiles and a pre-existing clawfoot tub were seamlessly integrated.

Now, this family has a harmonious mix of boho and organic elements to create a modern, warm, and inviting family home, echoing its history while being perfectly suited for the present.

Our team transformed a dated and tired facade into a European countryside-inspired beauty right in the heart of Columbia. When the family moved in, the need for a new roof was evident. A desire to enhance the stone work, modify the exterior color, and revamp the front porch added to the renovation wishlist. The homeowners collaborated with Anne Tuckley to create a serene and earthy color palette for the home’s exterior design. TrueSon then stepped in to assist with the envisioned transformation. Bringing the refined rustic charm of a distant setting to a city residence, this renovation includes features like new shingles and metal roofing, a complete stone makeover for the entire front facade, and select siding enhancements. The project also integrated decorative stamped concrete work, a redesigned sidewalk, custom garage doors, and a renovated front porch overhang. Key elements like the Douglas Fir woodwork and trim add to the sophisticated charm of the house.

The original design of the house was compact, with what's now an eat-in kitchen previously serving as the sole living room. Set on a secluded road amidst lush woods, the house's unassuming Cape Cod façade hid its potential. Our team extended the entire back wall of the house, transitioning the once-cramped space into a spacious great room. This not only enlarged the living area but also provided ample space for the homeowners to comfortably host their children and grandchildren simultaneously. The vaulted ceilings now give the room a lofty, airy feel, the stone fireplace serves as a centerpiece accentuating the room's grandeur and floor-to-ceiling windows frame the enchanting woodland view and flood the room with natural light. On the exterior of the home, we removed the existing brick and siding on the front of the house and replaced it with new, elegant stone to amplify the home's rustic charm. We also constructed new pillars, installed a modern front door, and complementary shutters to achieve a cohesive and sophisticated look. As soon as you open the front door, you are now welcomed into a breathtaking expansive space that is both luxurious and inviting, making the house an unparalleled woodland retreat.

This home had a screened-in porch that was detached from the living room, and due to its exposure to the outdoors, became a space that was often hot, dusty, and notably dark. This made it an area of their home that was rarely used. They wanted to take their screened-in porch and transform it into a usable space. To make this happen, our team capitalized on the porch's existing footprint, morphing it from an underused exterior space into a functional living area that could double as an office. To bring more natural light into the space, we installed elegant windows, which not only illuminated the space but also provided a scenic view to the outdoors. By incorporating both heating and cooling solutions, we ensured that this area seamlessly merged with the home's existing environment–making the room comfortable for year-round use. We built and installed custom trim and bookcases to provide both functionality and aesthetic appeal, and while the necessity for vinyl flooring arose due to its direct access to the outdoors and deck, careful selection meant it harmoniously matched the rest of the home's wood flooring. Now, this is a serene space that the family can enjoy all year long.

This family was looking for a way to make their home feel more like a true reflection of their personalities. We completed an entire main-level renovation for this family that gave their home new life. The primary bathroom was quite small and not functional, so we stole some space from the old kitchen pantry to create a more practical layout that made room for a soaker tub and shower and a pocket door that improved functionality. In the kitchen, we added a custom coffee bar in the breakfast nook, gave the kitchen cabinets a fresh coat of paint, installed new quartzite countertops and backsplash, and painted all the walls to create cohesion between the kitchen and living room. To round out the project, we installed new laminate flooring all throughout the main floor. Now, their home is a haven for connection and relaxation.

The family was ready to make their primary bathroom feel like a luxurious getaway, and our team helped turn their vision into a reality. Their old bathroom had a lack of storage space, felt dark and closed in, the shower wasn’t functional, and they were craving an elevated look. We overhauled the entire bathroom by adding an elegant, Japanese soaker tub that is a great focal point, custom shower with unexpected and unique tile, frameless shower doors to give a more open and expansive feel, and floating white oak custom cabinetry by Six Branch Woodworking. We also added a fireplace feature, modern toilet, and gave the homeowners more storage space and outlets. Now, their bathroom is their own personal oasis.

When this family wanted the look and feel of a new home, but couldn’t find a lot or location that they liked more, they decided to stay put and turn their current home into their dream home.

We worked with Bodine White to take this family’s vision and turn it into a reality. Our team executed a main floor transformation by completely renovating the kitchen, pantry, half bath, dining room, and office.

Every space got a new coat of paint and all new flooring was installed throughout. The brand new kitchen features cabinets with inset doors and tops, two islands, a coffee/bar area with an icemaker, and a custom vent hood.

We turned the fireplace from an outdated yellow distraction to a beautiful work of art, and the new laundry room came to life with unique tile.

This project is proof that finding your dream home is possible.

Project: Entire home remodel / addition

Barry was looking for a house on a lake near the woods with plenty of yard space and close to his kid’s school. He stumbled upon the land and location of his dreams, but the house wouldn’t suit his growing children. We took the three-bed, two-bath earth contact home he purchased and turned it into his dream home.

Thanks to the existing rectangular slab the house sat on, the build-out was seamless. Barry’s home boasts a double-sided wood-burning fireplace and a large kitchen island. Barry is now minutes from town and down the road from his grandpa’s house, all while on his little piece of secluded paradise.
