The original design of the house was compact, with what's now an eat-in kitchen previously serving as the sole living room. Set on a secluded road amidst lush woods, the house's unassuming Cape Cod façade hid its potential. Our team extended the entire back wall of the house, transitioning the once-cramped space into a spacious great room. This not only enlarged the living area but also provided ample space for the homeowners to comfortably host their children and grandchildren simultaneously. The vaulted ceilings now give the room a lofty, airy feel, the stone fireplace serves as a centerpiece accentuating the room's grandeur and floor-to-ceiling windows frame the enchanting woodland view and flood the room with natural light.
On the exterior of the home, we removed the existing brick and siding on the front of the house and replaced it with new, elegant stone to amplify the home's rustic charm. We also constructed new pillars, installed a modern front door, and complementary shutters to achieve a cohesive and sophisticated look. As soon as you open the front door, you are now welcomed into a breathtaking expansive space that is both luxurious and inviting, making the house an unparalleled woodland retreat.
